The
Ferguson Residence
The
Ferguson's decided to renovate their landscape
in phases over several years. The initial
phase consisted of recontouring a divided garden
and adding a retaining wall to create a gently
sloping entertaining area.

The
Dunigan Residence
This
project was a surprise for the husband of the
family. We had several secret meetings
before the phonecall letting us know "he's
gone". We had 4 days to transform
this narrow backyard into a more functional
and private setting. A new set of wrap-around
steps were added to one end of the covered porch
which opened access to the lawn. A trellis
and arborvitae hedge provide additional privacy.
Simple carefree plants were incorporated
for a low maintenance garden.

2005
Point Defiance Flower & Garden Show
It
was a wonderful experience participating in
an outdoor summer garden show of this caliber.
We had the opportunity to work with The
Pond Store in Sumner to create a rustic garden
influenced by the work of E.R. Roberts,
Superintendant of Pt. Defiance Park, 1890-1908.
Our display garden, "The Sensations
of Water Gardening" Marquee exhibit was
awarded a Silver Medal (we were only 2 points
shy of a gold!)

The
Hulse Residence
For
the Hulse family we created a much larger natural
stone patio for entertaining. A small
"babbling" brook was added with a
continueing dry stream bed. A trellis
wall and a low-maintenance planting plan round
out this backyard oasis.
