Regina Grubb
History
In
1995, the birth of a child set the stage for
the conception of a business. In June of 1996,
Regina Grubb resigned as a horticulture teacher
to become a stay-at-home mom. The next
month RKG Garden & Design was established
as a sole-propriatorship by Regina to address
the needs for local on-site garden consultations
and design services in Lake Stevens, Marysville,
Snohomish and Everett. RKG Garden & Design
started primarily as a part-time venture, but
by 1998 referrals from clients, local landscape
professionals, and nuseries brought RKG to full-time
status.
A move to the
south end community areas of Des Moines, Kent,
Federal Way and Auburn in 1999 put RKG into
a rebuilding phase. In 2002, the request
for installation referrals, especially for small
design projects prompted a transition into contracting.
So in 2003, RKG was incorporated and renamed
Regal Gardens Northwest, Inc. Regal Gardens
continues to grow with a focus on providing
professional on-site landscape consultations
and landscape design services to homeowners
in the South Puget Sound region.
